Sunday night‘s Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway started with Denny Hamlin out front and ended with Denny Hamlin out front. What happened in between defied belief. And a driver who claimed to thrive in chaos proved to be a man of his word.

The Gatewood High School Varsity Boys Basketball Team hosted a local kids’ basketball camp. Head Coach Don Keiser put together the Gatewood Middle School Basketball camp. The camp was hosted from May 24-26. There were 31 campers that attended this year.

Three Eagles earn All-Region honors

Putnam County had a lot of success on the baseball diamond this season, despite its early exit from the first round of the GHSA Class AA state playoffs in April. The War Eagles had three players earn Region 4-AA honors after their performances on the field in 2022.
