The 30th Annual Putnam County Classic hosted by the Manley family was in full effect this summer. The event took place from June 3-6 at the Manley Arena in Putnam County. This event has been taking place since the tornado of 1992.

The Dairy Festival begins bright and early each year with a race kicking off the day’s events. Formerly a 10K race called the Torture Trail hosted by Farmers and Merchants Bank, this year’s race was hosted by the Eatonton Pilot Club. It is now known as the Dairy Festival 5K Road Race.

The Gatewood High School Varsity Boys Basketball Team hosted a local kids’ basketball camp. Head Coach Don Keiser put together the Gatewood Middle School Basketball camp. The camp was hosted from May 24-26. There were 31 campers that attended this year.
