Wood, Warriors too much for War Eagles

Oconee County (1-2) proved its dominance over Putnam County (0-2) again on Friday with a 51-14 win. Warriors’ running back Caiden Wood also shined, scoring four touchdowns in the win.

Gatewood gets easy win over Augusta Prep

The Gatewood Gators added another easy win Friday night, beating the visiting Augusta Prep Day Cavaliers 62-6 at Sammons Field in Eatonton.

Bulldogs bounce back from slow start to beat UT-Martin

Top-ranked Georgia’s season-opening 48-7 victory over UT-Martin on Saturday had its highs and lows. The Bulldogs struggled out of the gate offensively but overcame the slow start to put up 41 points, with their final touchdown coming from the defense on a pick-six late in the fourth quarter.

Georgia prepares for Ball State

Georgia (1-0) will host Ball State (0-1) for its second game of the 2023 season on Saturday. The Bulldogs come off a 48-7 win over UT-Martin while the Cardinals lost to Kentucky 44-14 on the opening weekend of the season.

Gators crush Crusaders 35-0 to start season

The result was never in question last Friday night in Dublin, as the visiting Gators dominated the Trinity Christian Crusaders on both sides of the ball in a season-opening 35-0 win for the Gatewood squad.

War Eagles grounded by Baldwin in season opener

The Putnam County War Eagles started the season off on the wrong foot last Friday with a 33-13 loss to Baldwin County. The Braves took advantage of early Putnam mistakes and never trailed in the game.
