Lady War Eagles head into holidays on positive note

Putnam County girls’ basketball is off to one of the best starts in recent memory. The Lady War Eagles are 10-2 overall and riding a four-game winning streak heading into the final week of the year. Butler snapped Putnam County’s five-game winning streak on Dec. 15 with a decisive 57-40 win.

Mixed results for Putnam girls’ basketball

The Putnam County girls’ basketball team began its 2023-24 campaign on Nov. 18 at Eastside High School, where the Lady War Eagles faced Class 7A Newton in the Elite Nation Showcase.

Lady War Eagles look to grow over summer

Putnam County girls’ basketball has been busy over the past couple of months since its season ended. The Lady War Eagles got in the gym a few times in the spring before starting summer workouts last week. They also began to compete against other teams in summer league basketball games.
