Eatonton City Council met last Tuesday at the County Commission facility, where the councilors first heard from resident Jason Oliver, who was seeking an exemption to replace a mobile home on his mother’s land.

Literal sign of the times: Welcome to Eatonton

Almost the entire City Council showed up early Friday morning to unveil the first of four identical signs welcoming citizens and visitors to Eatonton. Only Ward 4 Councilmember Teresa Doster was unavailable due to foreign travel.

City council approves $8.2 million FY25 budget

With the details previously hammered out, Eatonton City Council voted unanimously Monday night to approve its $8.228 million budget for Fiscal Year 2025. Six of seven councilors were present for the vote, with Ward 4’s Teresa Doster absent.
