Lottery player’s truck stolen; thief nabbed in Gray

An Eatonton man lost his truck while playing the lottery.The 45-year-old said he stopped at the Golden Pantry on Oak Street and went inside to buy a lottery ticket on Friday, Jan. 2, around 8 p.m., according to Eatonton Police Department reports.

Three-peat DUIs in as many weeks

A Wilkinson County man is in jail after he was arrested three times in less than three weeks for DUI.Michael Joseph Beckham, 52, of Ivey, is being held without bond in Putnam County Jail, facing the charge of driving under the influence of drugs, third offense, according to jail reports.

EPD investigates burglary
