Outdoors: Topwater is life

People might want to argue this but let’s be honest. Topwater is life.Man, I don’t know one single angler who doesn’t LOVE a topwater bite. Not one. I mean really what isn’t to love about watching a fish, ANY FISH, crash a bait on top?

Outdoors: Heroes I have known

Outdoors: Thought for food

Few things take a country boy like me back as much as preserves. Fig preserves, strawberry preserves, peach preserves, man, I might be drooling over my keyboard right now.

Outdoors: Jonquils bring back memories

Every year about this time my favorite flower blooms. I was always taught that the patches of these beautiful flowers always marked the place of an old home. So, every time I see them, I think of people who came before us.
