Personal watercraft crash on Lake Sinclair

A crash between two personal watercraft resulted in one teen being flown by medical helicopter to an area hospital for injuries, according to Putnam County Sheriff Howard Sills.The crash happened around 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11, on the Putnam County side of Lake Sinclair.

PWC accident claims life of Ellenwood man

An Ellenwood man lost his life while out on Lake Sinclair enjoying the July Fourth holiday.Christopher Grant Jr., 30, died from accidental drowning when he fell off the personal watercraft (PWC) he was riding.

Body of missing man recovered from Lake Sinclair

The Baldwin County Public Safety Dive team located the body of the missing man who fell off the jet ski on Lake Sinclair Friday. The body of Christopher Grant, of Dekalb County, was discovered at 12:09 a.m.

Fisherman’s body found in Lake Sinclair

A Dublin man died on Lake Sinclair doing what he loved most. Jeremy Bernard Williams, 45, went fishing on Lake Sinclair around 9 a.m. Sunday but never returned home as expected that evening.

Pirates parade on Lake Sinclair

Saturday’s overcast weather no doubt hurt the turnout for the 13th annual Pirate Parade on Lake Sinclair, but it certainly didn’t dampen the spirits of the 20-odd crews who did show up.Last year’s parade probably had twice as many participants.

Record-setting catfish caught on Lake Sinclair

A new Lake Sinclair record blue catfish was caught about 11:30 a.m.April 27 by Guy Covington of Social Circle. Covington’s record fish pulled the certified scales at Farmers Services and Hardware in Madison to 79.5 pounds.

Outdoors: Straight up fishing on Lake Sinclair

On the weekend of March 23-24, Sinclair Marina in Milledgeville hosted the Toyota Series and Falcon Bass Boat-sponsored pro, Brian Latimer, his Straight Up Fishing (SUF) school, and his SUF Classic tournament. It was a well-attended event with a lot of fun and good food.
