Pressley: Dockside at the lake

An entertaining thing to do is just sit by the dock on a Friday afternoon. Last Friday, I was out at the Boat House on Lake Oconee. You know the place. In the old days, it was a catfish joint and now it’s got storage and gas, right off the backside of Harbor Club.

With the exception of the insane amount of rain we’ve had this year, we are hopefully now entering full-fledged spring! Pollen clouds, azaleas, spawning fish, gobbling turkeys, and soon-to-be 90-degree days.

Lake Sinclair places 3rd in national real estate searches

Lake Homes Realty, which claims to be the largest lake real estate brokerage firm in the country, recently released its annual “Hot Lakes” list for 2023. Lake Sinclair moved up one spot from last year to No. 3, and Lake Oconee is new to the top 10 with a No. 8 placement.

Lake Sinclair is fishing amazingly well right now! I mean if you guys aren’t fishing Sinclair for stripers, hybrids, and whites you are seriously missing out. Drop the bass stuff and pick up a spoon or a mini-Mack and get to it, folks!
