The Putnam County Board of Education met on July 23 to approve this year’s dress code and hear updates on the new elementary and primary schools.The main change for the dress code was verbiage to ensure there would be no questioning of the rules between staff, teachers, students, and parents.

The Putnam County Board of Education (PCBOE) met briefly on Tuesday to hear updates on the Putnam County Primary School and approve wetland mitigation for the new elementary school.It was reported last week that Putnam County Primary School (PCPS) had a sinkhole developing beneath its car line road.

The Putnam County Board of Education honored Superintendent Eric Arena and bus driver Willie Reid on May 20 for their years of service to the Putnam County Charter School System (PCCSS).Reid received the Bus Driver of the Year award for his 56 years of driving history with PCCSS.
