The Putnam County Board of Education discussed the additional tax exemption in more length on Tuesday. At the work session last week, Superintendent Eric Arena presented an additional proposed tax exemption to the board.

BOE recognizes financial department for excellence

The Board of Education recognized the Financial Department and approved two action items. The Finance Department received the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Association of Business Officials International for their report that ended on the June 30, 2022, fiscal year.

PCHS showcases talent to Board of Education

The Putnam County Board of Education hosted its work session at Putnam County High School (PCHS) on Sept. 11 to watch the PCHS showcase, hear updates on school safety, and hear updates about the new elementary school.

BOE hears updates to safety, new school; approves budget

The Putnam County Board of Education heard updates on school safety and the new elementary school along with approving the FY24 budget and millage rate. Assistant Superintendent Derick Austin and Safety Director Ken Vance gave a report on school safety to begin the meeting.

BOE breaks down 2023-24 budget costs and increases

The Putnam County Board of Education hosted its first Public Budget Forum on Monday. Due to there being a tax decrease, the board is required to host two forums for the public to attend and listen to a presentation of the budget before voting occurs.
