Sylvia’s Coffee owners makes it to the Olympics

A plush version of Phryge, the mascot for the Paris Olympic Games, sits atop the pastry case at Sylvia’s Coffee in downtown Eatonton. The stuffed mascot reminds owners Michael and Diana Homeier of the once-in-a-lifetime experience they had attending the Paris Olympics.

Eatonton’s famous “Sylvia the Ghost,” haunting the town’s historic Panola Hall for 150 years, has inspired the grand opening July 21, of a new coffee shop bearing her name. Sylvia’s: A Supernatural Coffee Bar, will officially open at 9 a.m.
