Editorial: In praise of President Carter

Dear Editor,Greene County Habitat for Humanity and Habitat for Humanity Putnam County joins the world in mourning the death of former U.S. President Jimmy Carter and joins observances around the world to remember his life of service.

Habitat and WDC combine on two furnished homes

A Habitat for Humanity (HFH) home represents stability, connection, and love. It is a place for new beginnings and making lifelong memories with family and friends.Last Tuesday, two Putnam families, led by single moms I’Keirra and Barbara, were blessed with new homes and new starts of their own.

Habitat for Humanity celebrates 25 Years in Putnam County

In 2023, Habitat for Humanity of Putnam (HFH) dedicated three Habitat homes, began construction on two new homes, worked with many ongoing and new partners and volunteers, and celebrated its 25th anniversary.

HFH delivers another Putnam County home

Habitat for Humanity (HFH) of Putnam County officials, board members, and guests joined together Oct. 25 to hand over the keys for the organization’s latest completed home. “This is pretty much the highlight of what we do here at Habitat,” Putnam HFH Executive Director Murali Thirumal stated.

Putnam Habitat creating ‘opportunity’ with home builds

In 1985, the United Nations declared the first Monday of October as World Habitat Day, intended for worldwide reflection on the basic right of everyone to adequate shelter.

Spring, the season associated with rebirth and rejuvenation, has become the time of new beginnings for two Eatonton families as former NFL Man of the Year Warrick Dunn, in partnership with Putnam County Habitat for Humanity, Aaron’s, and Ryan Jumonville, handed over the keys Feb.
