Habitat for Humanity celebrates 25 Years in Putnam County

In 2023, Habitat for Humanity of Putnam (HFH) dedicated three Habitat homes, began construction on two new homes, worked with many ongoing and new partners and volunteers, and celebrated its 25th anniversary.

The local non-profit organization is on track to complete four homes in 2024 and preparations are well underway for a move to a larger ReStore location at 866 Harmony Rd. that also will include administrative headquarters.

Affordable housing has become an increasingly serious issue for many people in the last few years across the country, including here in Putnam County, where HFHP may be able to provide a hand-up on the path to homeownership.

The families Habitat partners with are local, love living in Putnam County, and provide many essential services to our community.

Some of the most recent Habitat homeowners include a certified medical assistant at a local cardiology clinic, a teacher who works at a local school, and another who works in public infrastructure construction.

All of these people help our community thrive and with Habitat’s help, they can remain in our community and raise their families at home.

Every dollar donated to Habitat Putnam helps make the dream of homeownership closer to becoming a reality for these local families. HFHP hopes everyone able will consider a financial contribution to support Habitat’s mission of affordable homeownership for all.

Support of HFHP directly impacts individuals and families living in Putnam County and will have a lasting impact for many generations to come. To make a gift or for more information visit online at putnamcountyhabitat.org/take-action.
