UGA bringing historical exhibits to Eatonton

The University of Georgia’s Hargrett Rare Books and Manuscripts Library is bringing some of its athletics- and Putnam-related holdings to Eatonton this Friday. The exhibits will be in the Eatonton-Putnam Library and next door in the Plaza’s Old School History Museum from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Eatonton-Putnam Library welcomes new manager

The first time Abrielle “Abby” Boatfield visited the Eatonton-Putnam County Library, she entered as a little girl through the old entrance facing Church Street. These days, a major renovation has repurposed that same entrance into the exterior glass wall of her office as the library’s new manager.

Seizure treatment training comes to Putnam County Library

The Eatonton-Putnam Public Library played host to a seizure awareness and first-aid training session on Feb. 18, led by Dr. Rakale Quarells, a professor and director of the Epilepsy Advisory Board at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta.
