An Eatonton man died in a traffic accident in Morgan County on the morning of July 17.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, David Lamar Youngblood, 40, was killed when his 2003 Ford F-150 crossed the centerline and struck another vehicle head on while traveling south on Highway 441 near the intersection of Crawford Road.
The truck came to uncontrolled rest on the east shoulder of the roadway after overturning. Youngblood was declared deceased prior to arrival at a medical facility.
According to the GSP, Youngblood was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did deploy.
The driver of the second vehicle involved, Krissy Michele Roberts, 44, also of Eatonton, was transported for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
Roberts was also wearing her seatbelt and the airbags in her 2022 Honda CRV did deploy.
No charges are pending.
