I would just like to recommend the Georgia HEART program. This lets you receive a Georgia income tax credit, in an amount equal to the contribution to our local hospital. Although it does not give you any tax saving, it lets you direct your contribution directly to our local hospital. So - instead of sending $100 to Atlanta, and getting back 5 cents to PGH, the entire $100 goes to PGH, and your personal tax bill to Georgia is reduced by $100. If we want to attract business to Putnam County, we need a local health care provider such as PGH.
