A Putnam County woman was flown by medical helicopter this morning following a fire at her home.
Putnam County Fire Department Chief Thomas McClain said a call came in at 7:59 a.m. reporting a porch fire at a residence on Rockville Springs Road.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames so that the house was not burned, he said.
McClain did not identify the woman, but said she was flown to an area burn unit.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, he said.
