On the eve of the Putnam County Board of Commissioners' Sept. 1 vote on a new short-term rental (STR) ordinance, Commission Clerk Lynn Butterworth compiled a four-part analysis of the 260 existing STR permits. One of Butterworth’s tasks is to administer the STR application process.

More arrests made in Eatonton shooting

Two more arrests have been made in connection with the June 4 shooting at the Shell gas station in Eatonton. Both arrests were made on Sept. 18, one in New York City and the other at Jimmy Davis Park in Eatonton.
