Dear editor:
I love Putnam County. I would love it even more if everyone receiving County services was helping to pay for them. This County has property owners who pay $0.00 in property taxes. This is crazy in my opinion. If it’s necessary, set a minimum property tax. Some owners owe nothing after their homestead exemption is figured into the equation. They still get all the county services everyone else gets. The county needs to consider how much this could help the budget.
