Friday, Aug. 18, is going to be a big day for Putnam County. The first cooperative hog sale is slated to take place on that day, and it is expected that there will be brought in from all parts of the county some fine specimens of swine, which will be offered the visiting buyers. The first hog sale for this auction has been advertised and talked about for several months. Farmers throughout the county have been looking forward to the day of the sale and numbers of hogs have been in preparation for the market during this time.
