What happened to the Dairy Cow in front of the Eatonton Chamber? Hope it didn’t share the fate of B’rer Rabbit! I know we have fewer dairies, but don’t throw the baby out with the bath water. It was a favorite picture op for the few tourists we have in town. I also hope there is a game plan to save Historic Eatonton’s Downtown. Once it’s gone, it’s gone! It is good to see new businesses opening, but I could do without the blinky signs, false stone and stupid board signs on the sidewalk. Not any class or historic value there. Eatonton could save itself with a few speed humps and a Historic Preservation Board for the downtown area. Now anything goes. Maybe dancing clowns and strolling monkeys next?
