The Eatonton-Putnam Chamber of Commerce recently announced Hannah Tyson as its new tourism director.
In addition to working closely with the Chamber’s various regional marketing co-ops, state agencies and local attractions, Tyson will manage all marketing and product development projects. She also will oversee daily operations of the Chamber’s Visitor Center on Marion Street, helping travelers and new residents to become familiar with the area.
“Eatonton and Putnam County is overflowing with beauty, culture and personality,” Tyson said. “I am excited to showcase these aspects and allow others to fall in love with the community, too.”
After earning a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Georgia College and a master’s in business administration, also from Georgia College. Tyson most recently worked in social media and content marketing in Macon, where she was responsible for brand promotion and awareness, along with growth tactics for digital channels. Additionally, she has experience in building community partnerships and community outreach.
