Our related, belated celebration

All across the nation this summer, Americans have been 'un-hitting' the pause button, resuming travel, family vacations, and reunions, getting out of the house and largely back among the unmasked masses.

The father’s words

There’s no disputing it. No doubting it. No denying it. The man, who was our family’s North Star, was raised in an isolated, backwoods shack where hope rarely appeared but then dissipated quickly like dew on a hot summer’s morning.

What will ‘RITOO’ Republicans do now?

Okay, RITOOs (Republicans in Trump’s Orbit Only), what’s next? Planning on sitting out November’s general election in a funk so that Democrats can elect Stacey Abrams governor and give Georgia four or perhaps eight years of left-leaning policies?

Dairy Festival a big success

Dear editor: Again it has been a very busy, busy week, but I absolutely love it. First on the agenda was the Ferst Foundation storybook character contest. I played the perfect Little Red Riding Hood. I had fun, fun, fun and I can’t wait to participate again.

Seeking information on ‘Boots’

Dear editor: My name is Ruth Garrison, and I am 82 years old. In the early 1940’s my family lived in Eatonton, and we had a young African American girl called “Boots” who lived with us. Boots was always a big sister to me, and she would be around 92 now, so possibly still living.
