Gators pick up three late-season wins

A trio of great pitching performances powered Gatewood to three wins recently, with just one game left on its regular-season schedule.The Gators opened with a 17-3 win over Dominion Christian in Marietta last Monday, followed by a 9-2 win at home the next day over Central Georgia Arts (CGA).

Jeff Davis sweeps War Eagles in opening round

Putnam County’s baseball season came to an early end last week, as the team dropped a pair of one-run games to Jeff Davis in the first round of GHSA Class A Division I state playoffs.There wasn’t much separating the two teams all series — just a couple of plays here and there.
