No. 1 Bulldogs run away from Vanderbilt, improve to 7-0

It wasn’t pretty, but a win is a win as top-ranked Georgia defeated Vanderbilt 37-20 to improve to 7-0. The Commodores were 32-point underdogs entering Saturday and gave the heavily favored Bulldogs a run for their money, trailing by 10 points late in the game, but couldn’t pull off the upset.

War Eagles rout Glenn Hills, head into bye week

In its Homecoming game last Friday, Putnam County (5-2, 4-0 Region 4-AA) routed Glenn Hills (1-7, 0-5) to extend the War Eagles’ current winning streak to five. Putnam took care of business on both sides of the ball, easily defeating the Spartans, 47-12.
