Marijuana shipped from California to Eatonton

Two men who reportedly received a FedEx package containing marijuana from California last week are now in Putnam County jail. Keirreon Alial Farley, 22, of Uncle Remus Court, Eatonton, and Jerrit Lorenzo Wyatt, 21, of Hayes Street, Madison, were arrested around 3:15 p.m. Oct.

EPD and PCSO combine efforts on drug arrests

Once again, the Eatonton Police Department and Putnam County Sheriff’s Office combined forces to get drugs off the streets. In the most recent arrest, they put a stop to drugs being sold from downtown businesses, according to Lt. Harry Luke.

More arrests made in Eatonton shooting

Two more arrests have been made in connection with the June 4 shooting at the Shell gas station in Eatonton. Both arrests were made on Sept. 18, one in New York City and the other at Jimmy Davis Park in Eatonton.

Eatonton drug dealer sentenced to 30 years

A man who was arrested last year for selling drugs out of his vehicle in downtown Eatonton will spend basically the rest of his life in prison. Richie Solomon Burke, 51, formerly of Stribling Street, Eatonton, was sentenced by Chief Judge Brenda H.

EPD officers catch alleged thieves in the night

A complaint of suspicious activity that was phoned in to police in the wee hours of the morning resulted in many residents being awakened and two arrests, according to Eatonton Police Chief Howell Cardwell. The phone call came in at 3 a.m.

Gang members face additional charges

Two Milledgeville teens who were arrested in connection with an early morning shooting at the Shell Food Mart in Eatonton are now facing more charges, including some for firing gunshots inside a residence where two toddlers were at the time. No one was injured in the incident.
