War Eagles rout Glenn Hills, head into bye week

In its Homecoming game last Friday, Putnam County (5-2, 4-0 Region 4-AA) routed Glenn Hills (1-7, 0-5) to extend the War Eagles’ current winning streak to five. Putnam took care of business on both sides of the ball, easily defeating the Spartans, 47-12.

Passing prevails in Putnam County win over Westside

Putnam County (4-2, 3-0 Region 4-AA) has been a run-first team all season, although its passing game shined on Friday night as the War Eagles defeated Westside-Augusta 28-15 at Al Reaves Field.

Putnam routs Josey 42-0 in region opener

In pitching its first shutout of the season, Putnam County (3-2, 1-0 Region 4-AA) also scored a season-high 42 points to easily defeat Josey Friday night in the War Eagles’ region opener. Putnam head coach Joel Harvin said his team played almost mistake-free in the win over the Eagles.

Trio of War Eagles power Putnam past Butler

Putnam County recorded its second-straight win Friday, defeating Butler in its Region 4-AA opener. War Eagles’ running backs Rashod Daniel and Kaleb Crawford combined to rush for 211 yards and three scores as the War Eagles defeated Butler 35-12 in their Region 4-AA opener last Friday.

Crawford leads War Eagles to victory

Putnam County’s Kaleb Crawford put the team on his back Friday, leading the War Eagles to victory. The senior rushed for a career-high 209 yards and a pair of touchdowns as Putnam County (1-2) got its first win of the season, beating Jasper County (2-2) 24-17 on Friday night.

Wood, Warriors too much for War Eagles

Oconee County (1-2) proved its dominance over Putnam County (0-2) again on Friday with a 51-14 win. Warriors’ running back Caiden Wood also shined, scoring four touchdowns in the win.
