A 17-year-old Eatonton girl stopped at a red light on the Eatonton Bypass/U.S. Hwy. 441 last week, and it was there that a nightmare began for her. She noticed a man following her and, at some point, when it was obvious he was not going to stop, she became so scared that she called 911.

McIver murder re-trial halted before it began

The murder retrial of Claud “Tex” McIver that was scheduled to start Monday, Dec. 4 has now been postponed, according to reports. On Tuesday morning, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert C.I. McBurney excused prospective jurors from the jury selection process.
