More work left to do in fight against opioids

Four years ago, on Oct. 1, Beyond the Bell (BTB) began providing substance abuse prevention programs and services in Macon-Bibb County to combat the early use of tobacco, alcohol, marijuana, and other drugs by youth and young adults.

Beyond the Bell: Leaders convene to address community opioid issues

Several community leaders and officials turned out on June 17 at the Putnam County Courthouse in Eatonton to discuss and address the county’s serious opioid use and addiction issues, and what resources are available to combat seemingly endless problems related to opioid abuse.

Putnam plans meetings to address local opioid abuse

Sandra Dean, executive director of Beyond the Bell, visited Eatonton last Wednesday for a meeting with several community leaders at the new Sips coffee shop on East Marion Street.
