Christmas Walk through Woodland Acres a success

Woodland Acres at Robbins Farm hosted its first Christmas Light Walk on Dec. 12 with a positive turnout.The 10-to-12-minute walk circled the Holiday market with multiple vendors, featured several photo spots, and included an educational stop.

GMC partners with first responders for emergency preparedness exercise

Georgia Military College (GMC) and GMC Preparatory School, in collaboration with Milledgeville and Baldwin County first responders, conducted the first large-scale Emergency Preparedness Exercise on Nov. 1 on GMC’s Main Campus in Milledgeville.

Rooted in community: Deep Roots 22nd anniversary

The Deep Roots Festival returned Oct. 18 for its 22nd year in downtown Milledgeville. The annual event remained free to attend, offering visitors access to an artisan market, a car show, a concert stage, and family-friendly activities.

Christmas season comes to the Brown-Stetson-Sanford House

DBHDD to ‘dispose of’ four CSH buildings

Gov. Brian Kemp signed an executive order last Tuesday authorizing the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) to “dispose” of the Jones, Green, Walker, and Wash buildings on the Central State Hospital (CSH) campus.

Head-on collision claims five lives Tuesday morning

Five people were killed instantly in a head-on collision Tuesday morning, including an infant and a toddler. Putnam County Sheriff Howard Sills identified the victims as Mayla Dostie, 44; Hailey Brook Hayes, 22; Zaleigh Adaya Brooks, 23; Bentley Barlow, 3; and Tucker Hudspeth, 8 months old.
