Dear editor: I would just like to recommend the Georgia HEART program. This lets you receive a Georgia income tax credit, in an amount equal to the contribution to our local hospital. Although it does not give you any tax saving, it lets you direct your contribution directly to our local hospital.

Sink hole closes intersection

A small sink hole that suddenly developed Friday evening, May 20, at the intersection of Sumter and Washington streets in Eatonton should be all repaired this week. Eatonton Police Chief Howell Cardwell said the intersection was closed and traffic rerouted Friday evening and through the weekend.
