Proposal brings ‘Brown Bombers’ back to Jimmy Davis Park

The Jimmy Davis Park Partnership Advisory Council (PAC) met last Tuesday evening to discuss a proposal by PAC Chair Janie Reid to build and dedicate a new sign at the park less than a mile south of downtown Eatonton.

Roads washed out in Putnam County

The deluge of rainfall that hit the state earlier today has washed out several roads in Putnam County, according to authorities. An alternate route has been created for residents of one of those roads, said Putnam County Sheriff Howard Sills and Putnam County Manager Paul Van Haute.

‘The Color Purple’ continues to entrance audiences
