Eatonton Police Department officers and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime scene processors are spending their day before Thanksgiving investigating a burglary of a local business.
Eatonton Police Chief Howell Cardwell said the Grease Monkey auto service on Walmart Drive was burglarized around 3:30 a.m. today.
"They got in through the back door, and money and tools were taken," Cardwell said.
He and other investigators were still processing the scene as he talked to The Eatonton Messenger, so he was not ready to disclose details or amounts of the stolen items, he said.
