An Eatonton woman lost her life after a motor scooter crash, according to authorities. The victim, Misty Renee Hunnicutt, 48, of Eatonton, was traveling along Wards Chapel Road around 8:30 p.m. on June 29.

A woman driving a scooter last night was thrown from the scooter when she hit a deer, according to authorities. She succumbed to her injuries later at Putnam General Hospital.  The victim, Misty Renee Hunnicutt, 48, of Eatonton, was traveling along Wards Chapel Road around 8:30 p.m.

Rotary’s Pets Love Vets celebrates 5 years

In 2018, the Rotary Club of Greene and Putnam Counties launched Pets Love Vets as a free shelter pet adoption program for U.S. military veterans. So far, Pets Love Vets has been a resounding success with 131 shelter animals adopted by local veterans and their families.
