Henry-Garrett responds to letter

Dear editor: Mr Lee’s deliberately inflammatory rhetoric does Eatonton no favors but makes its residents look like they are happy to live back in the 50’s. Are you all cringing fearfully in the face of “selfishly ambitious Blacks”? Is it only permissible for Whites to be “selfishly ambitious”?

Overview of upcoming primary elections

Bewildering. Almost overwhelming. But it is also important – this increasingly long and sometimes irritating business of deciding who can best govern us for the next few years.

Dear editor: Titus 1:16 “They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works.” Bill Sharp was asked repeatedly to set up a meeting with the new owners of the marina property on Hwy 44. He claimed he would but didn’t know who the new owners were.

Imagination is more important than knowledge

Dear editor: Einstein said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.” In my 10 years as a Briar Patch resident, I’ve been extremely impressed with how Putnam County Charter Schools stimulate their students’ imagination.

‘Racism’ resonates with little power

Dear editor: The word “disproportionate” is often used by so-called “social justice” advocates. They state that there is a disproportionate number of Blacks targeted by police, a disproportionate number who are convicted of crimes and a disproportionate number who are in prison.
