With the exception of the insane amount of rain we’ve had this year, we are hopefully now entering full-fledged spring! Pollen clouds, azaleas, spawning fish, gobbling turkeys, and soon-to-be 90-degree days.

In a two-game, home-and-home series last week, the Putnam County baseball team faced region opponent Thomson and split the results. The War Eagles are now 8-11 overall on the year and 6-2 in Region 4-AA competition entering this week.

PCHS soccer finishes first, heads to playoffs

The last regular-season home game for Putnam County High School’s soccer teams came on March 28, and not only celebrated 2023 seniors but also college signings. PCHS soccer for both boys and girls has been dominant over the past several weeks and last Tuesday the celebration continued.

Gators win three on the road to extend streak
