Louie Thompson Long Jr., 80, of Eatonton, died peacefully on December 14, 2024. Born on August 30, 1944, Louie was the son of Annie Clyde Brake Long and Louie Thompson Long Sr. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Edward Pierce McLeroy, age 86, passed away in his sleep Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024, of congestive heart failure.He was the son of Mildred and Lynn McLeroy Sr. of Eatonton. He attended school in Eatonton and graduated from Putnam County High School in 1956.

Rosalyn Blanche Amick Carson of Eatonton, GA, formerly of Fayette County, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024, at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens, GA. She was born June 12, 1941, in Batesburg, SC, to the late Hubert Ray Amick and Sarah Eleanor Johnson Amick. She was 83.

Betty Holloway

Betty Bird Holloway, 85, of Eatonton, passed away peacefully at home on Oct. 10, 2024. She was born on May 9, 1939, to Clifford and Josephine (Kirk) Bird, the second of their children. Her older sister, Barbara, passed away as an infant before Betty was born.
